Caroline Alexander Graduates from Randolph-Macon Academy

Caroline Grace Alexander of Front Royal, the daughter of Lyle and Melinda Alexander of Front Royal, VA, graduated from Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, VA on May 24, 2014.

During her time at Randolph-Macon Academy, Grace was a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and National German Honor Society. She was the Corps of Cadets Vice Commander in the Air Force JROTC program, and a member of the Conrad Foundation's Spirit of Innovation Challenge Team. She also became a private pilot through the Academy's flight program. She participated in varsity sports, including cross country, wrestling and soccer, and was recognized with the Randolph-Macon Academy Scholar/Athlete Award and the cross country Coaches' Award.

Her numerous academic awards included: Valedictorian honors, Presidential Academic Education Award for Academic Excellence, the English Medal, the Social Studies Medal, the Sewanee Award for Excellence in Writing, and Certificates of Outstanding Performance in AP English 12, Spanish Honors V, AP European History, AP Psychology, and Ground School. She was also presented with numerous military awards, including the General Willard Scott Award, the Best All-Around Cadet, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Award and the Outstanding Cadet Award for Aerospace IV.

Grace will attend Northwestern University (Engineering) in the fall.

Randolph-Macon Academy, founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps and have the opportunity to participate in a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
