Caroline Alexander Receives Scholarship at Randolph-Macon Academy

Caroline Grace Alexander, the daughter of Lyle and Melinda Alexander of Front Royal, VA, was awarded The Chauncy Rockwell '06 Flight Scholarship and The Craig Porter, Jr. English Scholarship at Randolph-Macon Academy's Scholarship Recognition Ceremony held on November 22, 2014.

The Rockwell Flight Scholarship is awarded to a student who has a strong desire to learn to fly, submits a competitive essay, and is in good academic standing. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Rockwell established the scholarship in 2009 in honor of their son, Chauncy Rockwell ’06 who graduated from Oklahoma University and is now a pilot in the United States Air Force. The Craig Porter, Jr. Scholarship was established in 2011 by Craig Porter, Sr. in honor of his son Craig Porter, Jr., beloved R-MA English department chair who retired after 29 years of service. The scholarship is awarded to a senior who is taking an Advance Placement English course or who is inclined toward the study of English literature.
