Carolyn Laourdakis Inducted into National English Honor Society at Randolph-Macon Academy

Carolyn Laourdakis of Winchester, a sophomore at Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA), was inducted into R-MA's chapter of the National English Honor Society at a ceremony held on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Carolyn is the daughter of Tonja Phillips of Winchester, VA and Thomas Laourdakis of Front Royal, VA.

To be selected for the National English Honor Society, a student must have completed at least one semester of Honors or AP English and earned at least a grade point average of 3.5, including an average of at least 3.7 in Honors and AP English courses. The student must also have attended R-MA for at least one semester and display exemplary conduct and honor.

Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA), founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in R-MA's 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), which is currently recognized as an Outstanding Unit. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
