Carolyn Laourdakis Receives Academic Awards at Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School

Carolyn Laourdakis of Winchester was recognized for outstanding academic achievements at Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School's end-of-year awards ceremony held June 3, 2015. Carolyn, who is the daughter of Tonja Hewlett of Winchester and Thomas Laourdakis of Front Royal, received the Outstanding Mastery Award for English 8 Composition & Grammar as well as the Outstanding Mastery Award for English 8 Literature, World History, and Investigative Laboratory Sciences; the Presidential Education Award )(which is awarded for earning a 3.5 or above GPA each grading period of this year)), the Certificate of Appreciation for Community Service, and the Certificate of Participation for the Interact Club. Carolyn was also honored with the Aim High Award, which is presented to two students who best demonstrate character, scholarship and poitive leadership throughout the year.

Carolyn was an eighth grade student at R-MA Middle School during the 2014-15 school year.
