Carolyn Laourdakis Receives Community Service Award at Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School

Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School students served in their local community during the 2013-14 school year through roadside clean-up, coat drives, Penny Wars to raise money to battle hunger, recycling programs, and a number of other ways. Together, the small community served a total of 1,879 hours.

Carolyn Laourdakis of Winchester was recognized for her contributions when she received the Community Service Award during the end-of-year awards ceremony held May 28, 2014.

Carolyn, who is the daughter of Tonja Hewlett of Winchester and Thomas Laourdakis of Front Royal, was a seventh grade studentat R-MA Middle School during the 2013-14 school year.
