Dongeun Go Receives Recognition at Randolph-Macon Academy's 2017 Class Night
2017 Jun 8
During Randolph-Macon Academy's prestigious Class Night Awards ceremony on May 25, 2017, the top students were recognized. Dongeun Go of Ulsan-si, the daughter of Mr. Chunlim Go and Mrs. Myeong Seon Ban of South Korea, received the James M. Mills Award. The James M. Mills Military Excellence Award is presented to a cadet officer who, throughout the academic year, has consistently exemplified the personal characteristics of Lt. Col James M. Mills, a former Randolph-Macon Academy faculty member. These include leadership, positive attitude, integrity, loyalty, and perseverance. Amy was also presented two other awards that night, the first being the Social Studies Medal (the medal is the highest honor and recognition a department can assign). The second award was the George M. Wines Most Unselfish Service Award. This honor is presented to the student or students in the senior class who, in the opinion of the faculty, has rendered the most unselfish service during the school year for his/her class and the school. This service is done with no thought of personal reward in mind.
Amy was a senior at the Academy during the 2016-17 school year.
