Emma Bunker Receives Award at Randolph-Macon Academy

Emma Geraldine Bunker, the daughter of Rev. Jonathan Bunker and Dr. Susan J. Gawalt of Berryville, was recognized at an end-of-year ceremony for outstanding achievement at Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School. Emma received the Community Service Awardand the Outstanding Athlete Award.

Emma was an eighth grade student at Randolph-Macon Academy during the 2011-12 school year

Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA), founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in R-MA's 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), which is currently recognized as a Distinguished Unit, and have the opportunity to learn to fly through a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
