Emma Bunker Receives Recognition at Randolph-Macon Academy

Emma G. Bunker, the daughter of Rev. Jonathan Bunker and Dr. Susan Gawalt of Berryville, VA, was recognized for generous community service at Randolph-Macon Academy's first end-of-year awards ceremony on May 12, 2014. Emma received a Certificate of Appreciation for volunteering in the Admission Office. The Admission Office recognizes students for significant contributions through their participation in open houses, campus tours, shadow days and off-campus events. Emma was a sophomore at Randolph-Macon Academy during the 2013-14 school year.

Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA), founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in R-MA's 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), which is currently recognized as a Distinguished Unit, and have the opportunity to learn to fly through a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
