Jacob Dodson Graduates from Randolph-Macon Academy

Jacob Allen Dodson of Front Royal, the son of Frank and Carol Dodson of Front Royal, graduated from Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, VA on May 30, 2015.

During his time at Randolph-Macon Academy Jake played golf. He received the Salutatorian, Presidential Academic Education Award for Academic Excellence, and Certificates of Outstanding Achievement for AP German IV, AP US Government and technical theater his senior year. He was also the recipient of the American Legion Scholastic Award, the Community Service Award, the Herbert Gray Wyatt Medal for band, the John Philip Sousa Band Award, the Boyd M Guttery '45 Humanity Medal and the Best All-Around Cadet Award in his senior year.. While at R-MA Jake was involved in National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National German Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, National Social Studies Honor Society, and the Honor Council. He served as president of several of the honor organizations.During the year he held the position of Band Squadron Commander in the Corp of Cadets.

Jake will attend University of Virginia in the fall.

Randolph-Macon Academy, founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps and have the opportunity to participate in a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
