Jacob Dodson Receives Recognition During Randolph-Macon Academy Class Night

During Randolph-Macon Academy's prestigious Class Night Awards ceremony on May 29, 2015, the top students were recognized. Jacob Dodson of Front Royal, the son of Frank and Carol Dodson of Front Royal, received the honor of being named Salutatorian, the Herbert Gray Wyatt Medal for Band, the John Philip Sousa Band Award, the National Honor Society Certificate, and the Boyd M Guttery '45 Humanities Medal, and was named Best All-Around Cadet. The Herbert Gray Wyatt Medal for Band is awarded to a senior bandsman who has shown outstanding leadership within the marching and concert band and the band squadron. The honor of Best All-Around Cadet is awarded to the cadet in the senior class who, possesses among others, the following high qualities of character: Honor, Courage, Scholarship, Leadership and Service.

Jake was a senior at the Academy during the 2014-15 school year.
