John Backo Graduates from Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School

John Backo of Warrenton, the son of Karen and Jerry Smith of Warrenton, has successfully completed the required studies at Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School. John celebrated this accomplishment with the rest of the middle school graduates at a promotion ceremony held on the R-MA campus on Thursday, May 29, 2014. The guest speaker for the event was Malcolm Barr, whose work experience included time as an Associated Press journalist, work as a former press secretary for U.S. Senator Hiram L. Fong of Hawaii, and 25 years in press relations for the Departments of Labor, Justice, and Commerce in Washington, DC.
