John Backo of Warrenton, Virginia, has earned the rank of Airman First Class in the Air Force JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) program at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, VA. John is the son of Karen and Jerry Smith of Warrenton.
