Kira Dalrymple Receives Honors at Randolph-Macon Academy

Randolph-Macon Academy held a special ceremony on November 6, 2010 during Fall Family Weekend to recognize student achievement. Cadet Kira Dalrymple, the daughter of Mr & Mrs Vince Dalrymple of Columbia, was inducted into the National English Honor Society. Kira is a senior at the Academy.

To be selected for the NEHS, a student must have completed at least one semester of Honors or AP English and earned at least a grade point average of 3.5, including an average of at least 3.7 in Honors and AP English courses. The student must also have attended R-MA for at least one semester and display exemplary conduct and honor.

She was also named to the Dean's List for the first academic quarter for achieving a grade point average above 3.3.

Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA), founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in R-MA's 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), which is currently recognized as an Outstanding Unit. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
