McKenzie Marshall Named to Honor Council at Randolph-Macon Academy

2011 Jul 1

McKenzie M. Marshall, the daughter of Robert and Terri Marshall of Palmyra, has been selected to serve on the 2011-12 Honor Council at Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA). McKenzie is currently a junior at the Academy.

Cadets are expected to be good citizens during their time at R-MA. To reinforce that expectation, cadets take the following Honor Code Pledge: "On my honor as a student of Randolph-Macon Academy, I pledge not to lie, cheat, or steal nor tolerate those who do. I will conduct myself in a manner that will bring credit to myself, my family, and to Randolph-Macon Academy."

Students who are accused of an honor code violation go before the Honor Council for a peer review. The findings and recommendations of the Honor Council are then forwarded to the Discipline Review Committee, which is headed by the R-MA Commandant.

Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA), founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in R-MA's 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), which is currently recognized as a Distinguished Unit with Merit, and have the opportunity to learn to fly through a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
