Peter Jin Graduates from Randolph-Macon Academy

Peter Jin, the son of Weishan Jin and Li Chen of Salt Lake City, graduated from Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, VA on May 25, 2013.

He was the Corps of Cadets Commander of Operations, and a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and National German Honor Society while at the Academy. At the end of the school year, he received the Presidential Academic Education Award for Academic Excellence, the Academy President's Leadership Award, the Scholastic Excellence Award, the Science Medal, a Certificate of Excellence for AP Biology and AP German V, The Daughters of the American Revolution Award, and a National Honor Society Scholarship. He also achieved the Bronze Standard on the National German Exam, and received a Certificate of Appreciation from both the Admission Office and the Alumni/Development Office. In addition, Jin was named the Academy's Own Team Member of the Year. Jin participated in varsity soccer, cross-country, swimming and track and field. He received the R-MA Swim Team Coaches' Award.

Jin was named to the President's List for the fourth quarter of achieving a grade point average above 4.0. He will attend United States Air Force Academy in the fall.

Randolph-Macon Academy, founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps and have the opportunity to participate in a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
