Peter Jin Receives Award at Randolph-Macon Academy

Peter Jin, the son of Weishan Jin and Li Chen of Salt Lake City, was recognized for outstanding achievement at Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA) at the school's first end-of-year awards ceremony on May 13, 2013. Peter received the Certificate of Excellence for AP German V and achieved the Bronze Standard on the German National Exam. He also received certificates of appreciation from the Admission Office for assisting with student recruitment activities and from the Alumni Office for volunteering during Homecoming and development Thank-a-thons. For his outstanding efforts throughout the year, the Admission Office also named him the Academy's Own Team Member of the Year. He was a senior at Randolph-Macon Academy during the 2012-13 school year.

Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA), founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in R-MA's 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), and have the opportunity to learn to fly through a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
