Roop Atwal Graduates from Randolph-Macon Academy

Roop Kaur Atwal of Front Royal, the daughter of Sukhdev and Jaspreet Atwal of Springfield, graduated from Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, VA on May 30, 2015.

During her time at Randolph-Macon Academy Roop played soccer and was manager of the cross country team, in which she won Most Improved Player freshman year. She received the President's Award for Academic Achievement senior year and Certificates of Excellence for World History II and English 9 freshman year. She was also the recipient of American Citizenship Award. While at R-MA Roop was involved in National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and Band.During the year she held the position of Alpha Flight Commander in the Corp of Cadets.

Roop will attend Coastal Carolina University in the fall.

Randolph-Macon Academy, founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps and have the opportunity to participate in a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
