Van Nguyen Graduates from Randolph-Macon Academy

Van Nguyen, the son of Trang Sy Nguyen and Hang Le Tran of Hai Phong, Vietnam, graduated from Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, VA on May 25, 2013.

He was the Corps of Cadets Flight Commander, and a member of the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society while at the Academy. At the end of the school year, he received the President's Award for Academic Achievement. Nguyen participated in varsity soccer and tennis. He received the R-MA Tennis Team MVP Award and was named to the Delaney Athletic Conference Tennis All-Conference 1st Team.

Nguyen was named to the Dean's List for the fourth quarter for achieving a grade point average above 3.5. He will attend James Madison University in the fall.

Randolph-Macon Academy, founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps and have the opportunity to participate in a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
